I am working in a crosstab query and trying to enter a very simple parameter in the criteria field - [Enter attribute name.]

I get this message "The Microsoft Jet database engine does not recognize '[Enter attribute name.]' as a valid field name or expression.

Why? What do I do?

You must specify the data type of the parameter in the Query->Parameters dialog:
[Enter attribute name.] Text
