Access program running slow after upgrade

Hey all, Let me state that I am very new to Access. They sent me to a two day seminar and all of a sudden I am the "expert". So, with that said, we recently upgraded from 97 to 2000. The problem is that the program is running very slow opening forms, printing reports, ect ect... Is there anything in the upgrade that would cause this. We already did the updates from Microsoft. We are currently running a file server with a handful of workstations. For some reason the Access program was loaded on our file server, does this need to be there. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Turn off the spell check in options. That will dramatically increase the performance. It's a new thing in access 2000.
