Access minimizes instead of closing!!!!

I have noticed lately that sometimes when I click the 'X' to close an Access application, it will minimize itself instead of closing. When I click it and maximize it appears as if the database application is gone, but Access is still running. If I click the 'X' again, it will minimize it again, but will not close. The only way I can get rid of it is to close it using the task manager?

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Is it cause by the Access database that I am running?
