Access List not updating :(

Hi all, got an acl on a cisco 2600. i want to remove a few lines from it,but if i copy the list out to notepad, remove the entries i want gone, then paste it into the rounter while in config t. After i do a sho run, and the entries are still there...even if i copy run start i still see them.

What am i doing wrong?

Put a "no access-list [number/name]" before the new access-list in your notepad file.
