Hi,

I'm looking for some info about automation access to excel and the changes in excel back into access ...

What i'm trying to accomplish is that i create a query with all the data i need that's available in the access application (data is on oracle), export it to excel, the user manipulates the data, and than the changed data has to be saved back into access.

The users want this functionality, because they know excel but we want the data in the database and not using msquery in excel, that's no option ...

Can someone provide me with information or code samples

Kind Regards

J

the 'programatic' process is to trivial to need explination. See the ubiquitous {F1}]/b] (a.k.a HELP) keyword transdfer spreadsheet.

The advisability is, on the otherhand, fraught with peril. The secnario goes something like:

It came from the database.
It is (must be) a database product.

somehow Mr. Knowit screws up some part of the processing.

ye the db guru (or even minimal practicioner helping his bud).

It came from the database. It is a databse product. YOU are hte guilty party.

Hang the nearest culprit (YOU AGAIN!!!) in the back parking lot.

Think (briefly) about how the friend became emeshed in the problem. Advise he (and others like him) to avoid association with the dbers.

Job search commences.
