I have several remote clients using Outlook 2002 to connect to our Exchange 5.5 mail server, they are using Cisco's VPN ver. 3.1 via ATT dialup/DSL/cable modem and the Exchange 5.5 server is behind a Cisco Pix 515. The users are reporting slow performance, Outlook hanging, not responding, a constant retrieving of information from the mail server dialog box which is very slow. I'm not the Outlook 2002 expert, so I'm looking for tips on how to improve the performance via any means.
