Hi,

When I try access my IIS server using the MMC snap-in, I get "you have been denied access to this machine". I have to log on locally to the machine to administer it. I have checked permissions on the server and I am a member of the local administrators group. Any ideas?!?!

cheers

I recently had this problem and was able to fix it by doing the following:

1. Open dcomcnfg (click programs-> run..., and type 'dcomcnfg')
2. open Component Services
3. Open Computers.
4. right-click on My Computer, and select Propoerties.
5. Click on the Default Properties tab.
6. Set Default Athentication level to 'Connect'.
7. Set Default Impersonation level to 'Identify'.
8. Reboot.

Good luck.
