Hi,
I have a user that has created modules in an access databse. We had some network issues and at the time the database crashed and left a locking file behind that we could not delete. We have now managed to free this but the database is not working correctly. It is saved in a server directory and everytime the user runs a module in the database via the network share the database rockets from a small size upto nearly 100MB! and takes about 14minutes! If the same task is done via the C:\ drive it takes 3 seconds, the size does not change and all is well. What could be going on? It seems strange this is happening on the network and not locally, that is why it doesn't sound like it is corrupt?
Has anyone seen this before, or can offer any tips?
It is on Win2k SP4 system Access 2000 SP3.
Any help much appriciated!
