Hi

Can anyone tell me how to make a database usable over a small network so multiple people can use it and work in the database at once.

Also is it possible to set up an administrator who is responsable for maintenance and fixing.

DbD,

The easiest way is to create an instance of the Db on each of the client machines, then link the tables to a master db on the server.

Any changes to a record will then be mirrored on the client/server db's.

Yes, place Access mdb on shared drive and go. It's no need in dev edition to use Tools|Security wizard. Small groups work with shared mdb OK (don't forget intensive back up'ing).
But you must set full access privileges to the folder with mdb. MS Access is desktop database, it's so easy to crack Aceess locks or crash mdb via Explorer.
May be MSDE is the best choice with Access client front-ends. But really secure low cost solution is more complicated (intraweb WAMP installation, for example).
