It takes about 2 seconds for the access code to be recognized when we make a long distance calls through my Difinity Switch. Is there a setting that controlls this delay?

end the called number with #

Please let me know if the information that was provided is helpfull.

I believe what you are looking for is the interdigit timer in the sysem parameters.
One thing to watch is if you get it set to short the switch may be trying to interpret incomplete numbers which could cause call rejections.

Thanks europe,

# does not improve the timing at all.

Thanks again,
uda

I beleive that Bobg1 is correct. The interdigit timer is looking to see what else you dial before connecting the call. At one time I made some changes to our dialplan and this happened to me.
