Have Symposium and I am able to log in as sysadmin. Sysadmin is in the Blue system admin group, the highest as far as I can tell. It looks like the installer blocked read write capabilities for scripts and only allowed viewing. I cannot change the access level because access classes is also locked down. Does anyone know a back door with full permissions? Or can I create a new user group with full permissions? Thanks.

Do you have Symposium Call Centre Server or the limited Symposium Express? Which version is installed?

I believe its and express, this is what I could find on it minus the Keycode and last 4 of serial.

Symposium Call Center Server

Version: 03.21.05
Serial Number: 904xxxx
Keycode:
Symposium Call Center Server.

Are you able to contact a vendor or the initial installer?

Our vendor is no help, and we will be replacing them because of it. The installers are no longer around. That is why I am trying to find another way in.

You probably have SECC, not SCCS. With SECC, you cannot modify, edit, or create scripts without using the wizard. Even though you might notice that you have "advanced scripting" authorized...This aspect of SECC really sucks, as I have found that the wizard does not always create the scripts properly. For example, try queueing after-hours calls from one skill set to another. If you go in and look at the script, it will not give the caller music...just ringback! You will need to upgrade to be able to modify the scripts. Nevertheless, please let me know if you find a way around this...I would love to know!

Hope this helps.

i've never used express, but i recognize the version # you provided as a full SCCS version (though express could be along that same version track too). forgive me if i'm pointing out the obvious, but you can see what you're running by opening up SMI workbench (the main "tree") and clicking the Help menu and selecting About...it will tell you what version you are running.

nonetheless, even if you are running the full SCCS, i don't know how you'd get around the situation you are in. maybe try creating a new user in that same blue access class and see if you're able to edit the access class with that user. (just brainstorming) of course, i guess it's all moot if you are in fact running express.

3.21.05 is SECC (Symposium Express). RFWatts is correct, you cannot create or modify scripts with Symposium Express. Instead, you must use the Call Treatment Wizard to create/modify treatments that specify rans, music, wait times, days/hours of opertion, etc. Then you use the Call Routing Wizard to tie together a CDN with a Call Treatment and one or more skillsets. Access classes are limited to the sysadmin (which comes defined as you have just described), custadmin, senior supervisor and supervisor. The newest release of SECC is 4.2 (same numbers as large Symposium); that release can be upgraded to the large Symposium, retaining all your current data. I agree, the Express is very limited and not intended for anything more than a beginning call center environment.
