I realized this question will be vague, but is how would you got about having Access auto-fill a field that show the name of the last user to update the record?
In the BeforeUpdate event procedure of the form, play either with Application.CurrentUser if you use the access security scheme or Environ("UserName") if you want the network logon name and don't have win9x box.
Hope This Helps, PH.

Although, without knowing the change history (not just WHO, but also WHAT was changed - for ALL changes) it is hardly an audit trail. One (at least me) wonders what (pratical) use can be made of this highly restricted information.
