Access and dBase users using the same files

I have users that want to continue to use dbase IV programs and Access users that want to use (and add and change) the same dbase files (tables). Is there a way that both the dbase users and Access users can use, update, add and lock the same dbase files so that each program will detect and honor record and table locks?
