We have recently ugraded our servers and workstations to Win 2000 from NT4 running Office 97. An Access database that is stored on the server now runs very slowly. The database uses a front-end with all the forms, reports etc, with a link to the backend Access database that stores the data. We have done several tests, including converting the database to Access 2000. Although some areas of the system are a little faster, they are nowhere near the speeds that occured on the NT platform. Some reports are now taking several minutes longer. Has anyone had any experience with this, and if there are any workarounds for the problem.
Ram is not an issue, as we have tested it on a Win 2000 machine with double the ram of an NT equivalent, and the NT machine performs noticably quicker.

Thanks for your help, any input gratefully received!

Others may have more ideas, but one issue is with Opportunistic Locking on your server. I don't remember the KB number, but do a search on microsoft.com and you'll come up with it. "The Key, The Whole Key, and Nothing But The Key, So Help Me Codd!"
