Access 97 install problem

Hi I have this strange problem with Access 97
I have to install it to use a point of sale program I have
I am running xp and had Office xp installed which I removed with Windows istall/remove
I have installed Office 97 3 times now but whenever I do all the other programs are there excel,word etc but Access is not ?? I am totally baffled by this please help cheers Ken
 
Could it be that you have Office 97 Standard and not Office 97 Pro? I don't believe that the Standard Edition includes Access.

Not sure about that but it installs a "Program" icon white box with blue bar at the top called "Access" beside the rest of the office suite ??

I'll check the version of office thanks Ken
 
Try running your install into a different folder or a different hard drive if you have a different partition. some times if you got back a version and use the default folder strange stuff happens. I had to install my office97 to a different drive and it works fine.
