Access 97 hanging when creating new database

Hello All:

We make snapshots of some of our data into a new database each week for archival purposes. This week I tried to create a new database using the icon and Access 97 froze on me. Next I tried using the menu item instead and the same thing happened. So then I tried using my back-up copy, but again the same thing happened. It seems to be something to do with my PC (as opposed to the database), but what could it be?

Hello All:

I had to reinstall the app from the ground up. Not to be outdone, the faulty Microsoft product produced yet another bug. And this is running on MICROSOFT's own OS!!!! Sheeesh!
