Here's an issue that I've yet to resolve or get a definitive solution for me. I have Office 2000 Small Business installed (it has no Access program). The problem: Installing Access 97 from an Office 97 Pro CD purchased after the 2000 installation (yes, it's licensed). When installed side by side the Access starts with a modal msgbox that says

Cont.
"can't find db specified or it doesn't exist." Thus, it can't be opened to tweak it from menus, etc. Any suggestions for side by side compatibility or is the only solution to remove 2000 and revert t0 97 across the board?

See the articles listed in the thread
"MS Access License Problems" two or three pages back in ths forum. One of them gives step-by-step instructions for what you're trying to do.

I'm currently using a copy of Office97 Pro(installed to the default location) AND Access2000 (installed to a different path). I have found no problems with using them side by side so far.

All be it, the Access2000 was only recently installed and the Office 97 Pro has been on quite a while.

Did you try installing the Access97 into the same drive path, if so, unfortunately it will not work and may have made some changes to the copy of Office2000 you have.
