Access 97 and Office 2000-Access on same machine don't work

.mde application with embedded functions and queries works just fine on an Office 97 Access installation. When Office 2000 minus the Access component is installed the application no longer works. Gets errors on embedded functions and queries.

Help please!
 
Check that Access97 has MS Office97 service pack 1 applied. If not download and apply. Then download and run MS Office97 service pack 2b. This corrects the libraries wiped out by the Office 2000 install. save the service packs in case you need to reinstall in the future.
 
one more thought: Access97 has a stupid registration problem where the %windir%\fonts\hatten.ttf must be renamed before you reinstall Office\Access 97,otherwise Access97 complains that it has no registry entry under XP, and there are many Win98 problems relating to this
