I have just installed access 97 after installing access 2000 on a windows 2000 machine. I am aware of the steps to do this(like renaming a the hatten font, installing into a seperate folder, etc)but here is my problem: after doing this my access files are displayed with the standard 97 icon but when I open it the icon becomes the windows flag(an unknown format icon) and I cannot view the databases tables.

any ideas??

Not a good idea, golyg.

I'm well aware that you can install multiple versions and that you need to do so in separate paths. The OTHER thing I've always given when providing help about multi-version installs is that the NEWEST version must be installed LAST.

If I were you, I would now reinstall Office 2000. Then you may have to go through hatten....again (yeah, my favorite font too, right?). LOL Anne Troy
