Has anyone out there had the ‘privilege’ of trying to get their 2000/2003 versions of Access db’s with user security settings to function on Access 2007 yet?

According to the online help Access 2007 does not support security workgroups. You know that handy little tool that enables you to join an existing .mdw file which contains all of your user names and passwords?

Well, you can forget about that because in 2007 it’s gone.

Let me know if you have a quick way to work this out. All I can see doing is using Access 2003 to give full authority for all objects back to the Admin user. The what? Then I have no user security. Not the best plan I’m sure.

You can run the workgroup administrator in Access 2007
here's the link:

Alternately, you can remove the security from the existing mdw by giving the Admin user and the Users group full permissions on all objects in the database.

Thanks a million! Works like a charm!
