Hi,

I've a DataBase in Access 2003, this database was originally in Access 97 and later converted to 2003 by a user.
To open the database the login and pwd of this user is needed. Today when we tried to open this database instead of asking for a login/pwd it was returning an error like "you dont have the correct rights to use this object". it looks like the .mdw file is not correct...

I've tried to create this user again but no way... somebody has any idea?

Thanks in advance

Are you using a special shortcut to open the database? Or are you using the 'join' property of the Workgroup Administrator? I recommend the first option, because your problem is probably a result of the second option going bad, somehow.

A sample shortcut target line would look like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\atemp\dev\rq_fe.mdb" /wrkgrp "C:\atemp\dev\icg.mdw

Sorry... i think i did not explain correctly...

I tried to open the database again with the .mdw file but it didnt let me.
When i looked the users related with the .mdw file the user is not anymore there... dunno what happened. I've tried to create a new .mdw but the problem now is that nobody knows the PID of the user...

Is there a way to open the database again?
