Access 2003 Slowness

We are currently in the process of deploying the Office 2003 suite to our company. There is a particular database that runs just fine on Access XP; however, when running it on Access 2003 some functions are quite a bit slower. Is there anything particular about Access 2003 that would be causing this issue?

Note, everything it accesses is local to the database.
