Access 2003 form appears to be constantly refreshing

I have Access 2003 form appears to be constantly refreshing, but only the forms with certain OnCurrent code as well as some text boxes with expressions like

=([Tax]+[SubTotal])

I've also seen this behavior in 2003 viewing 2000 mdb's.

I tried adjusting some refresh intervals etc. and it doesn't seem to work.

I also can't find any reference to this problem...
