Access 2000 - Default in form 1

I need to create a form that once the information is filled in on the first record, the only thing that needs to be entered on the remaining records for that day are the card numbers and occationally change the amount on the card. I have not figured out how to have the form default to the information in the prevoius record. Is this possible?

If it were my problem I'd approach it this way to avoid storing the same information on every record: make a master record for the day, and fill in the card number and the amount on a subform. Gus Brunston
