I converted an Access 97 .mdb to Access 2000.

While converting I got the following messages:

1. "Records(s) cannot be read; no read permission on MSysobjects"

2. "Records(s) cannot be read; no read permission on MSysAces'"

I continued the install, but am unclear how the above error will impact existing code.

How can these errors be avoided?

I'm not sure if this is your answer, but if you have applied security to the .mdb, you have to make sure you're pointing to that system.mdw that contains the permissions. By default, Access 97 and 2000 point to the system.mdw on the C drive. Use the workgroup administrator (wrkgadm.exe) to join the correct group if that's not the correct one for your .mdb
