Have you guys every try this? I create an R5 application called abc.nsf which is web enabled application, the user then user an R5 Client with multiple-frame welcome page, he set one of the frame as WebPage content and direct it to our Domino server <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> and Domino return this.

Error 401
You are not authorized to perform this operation
------------------------------------------------
Lotus-Domino Release 5.0 (Intl)

if he enter "<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> in the browser (IE or Netscape) it works okay.. ask for password and load the content.. he said "Notes Client has a built in browser too isn't it?" .. well I can't answer him, why this happens?

Does Notes browser have to seperately authenticate with the server? if it does why does the Error message display first then the password prompt later.. and when the user enter a password, IE lunch out and run the URL.. and again ask for password...? it end up IE displaying the content and Notes Client didn't.. giving bad name to the Client.
Eas Kwok
eas@fnmail.com
