Hi all,
I have a list of all the stations in my Definity.
I look up in this list to find a free port, I find
01A0521. When I want to assign this port to a station
it says "Port previously assigned, please select another"

I checked it with "list station port 01A0521" command and
saw that there was no station using this port.

So... what might it be ?

If this is a digital port it could be a data mod. Try list extension or display port 1a0521.

Do you have DSA? A neat trick I use is this...

Use the view available ports option, then export it to a csv file. I then adjust the columns, etc and save it as a xls file.

Then I upload it to my palm. This way I have a list of open ports for all of my switches in my pocket...no need to use the SAT.

Just figured I'd pass it along. You'll need a PDA (obviously) & Documents to Go.
