Hi,

My about:blank page has been changed to some sort third-party page. This page points to sp.html under \system32 I have tried removing this file but it keeps coming back due to a random .dll being created.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks,
karmafree.

I would go through the registry (Start->Run->regedit), and search for that page: "sp.html". Also, start in safe mode and see if the problem is still there. Also, check msconfig (Start->Run->msconfig), and see if any odd startup or odd services are running. Also, scan for viruses. Also, scan for Ad-Aware, and Spy-ware. Also, try to figure out which "random" .dll is being created and by what program, and try to remove it. Hope that gives you some ideas.

This is a little tricky to remove, as there is a "hidden" DLL that needs to be removed. Read thoroughly, including all links, thread760-851798
