...or str() function. This error occurs only in certain machines, I avoid the problem by setting the References Priorities at the Object Browser, but in some machines this option is not enabled?????!!!!????

Check which reference libraries you use on a properly working computer: and I mean browse: go and find where they reside. Make sure these libraries~references are available in the correct locations on each of the offending computers. Is it possible these other computers are using a different operating system or a different Access? Gord

Can't tell you how many times I've answered this question. Everyone who distributes Access will eventually run into this one. Access essentially hard codes the location of the libraries used during the development. When it is installed on another user's platform everything MUST be in the same location or you will get errors on the most common functions. Open a module in design mode and go to menu Tools\References then uncheck the library which is "Missing" and your problems will disappear 95% of the time. Try it you will like it.

If unchecking the missing reference does not fix the problem then follow the guidance in the above post.

Also check to determine whether the library is really needed on the fielded application. If not make sure it is unchecked on the development system before fielding.

Gord, Steve:
I've unchecked the missing references and ... everything works fine! But the Tools~Reference option in some machines is ¡ disabled!. Any idea about this??
And again: thanks for you excelent support, I've already been in other forums and nobody sends me an idea about this error.

Cheers

You'll need the ability to get to this...Could your other copies be saved as MD..whatever besides B? Gord
