Hi
Forget my English, I hope I can explain my problem. Here we go:
Imagine a PC with WXP SP1 Pro, with all possible updates, norton antivirus also updated and no problems with sound. One day a few sounds are lost, examples: Start and end windows, sounds for messenger, etc.
But if we go to control panel we see that those file sounds are active and present at hard disk.
I try to look at the register but with no success.
I think it's rare but can be wrong.
Can somebody explain how to solve this problem?

Thanks and cheers

In the volume display, make sure that the Wave volume control is turned up. This is the volume control that controls most sound effects.

Hi Greg

but no. it's not a volume control problem. I'ts not a hardware problem. Something it's blocking that few sounds...

any suggestion
