A DRP for Active Directory

Would anyone like to share why having a single DC on a lone site using scheduled replication is not the answer for Active Directory backup in case the only local site with the remaing DCs get a corrupted AD database?

In other words, is this a feesible Disaster Recovery Plan??

This is not a joke. Someone is arguing this point. I believe system-state backup and recovery is the way to go.
