It is possible to create a grid with the results of a query without specifying the query attribute in the <CFGRID> tag. I have done this. What I want to know is can you update the values in the database using CFGRIDUPDATE under this scenerio.

My problem lies in the fact that I cannot create a grid using the query attribute because I have fields (columns) in the grid that are not in the database table. If I include these fields in the grid while using QUERY="myQuery" in the <CFGRID> tag, I get an error that says that one of my columns does not match a field in the table. Ok, fine. So I create a grid as I mentioned above that lacks the query attribute and uses <CFGRIDROW> instead, but the update will not work. Does anyone here have any experience in this area? Kevin
