A customer bought a computer from ebay and was shipped across the country. he turned it on and nothing...
So he brings it to us.
We opened the cases and noticed the cpu fan was of it's clamps. And was probably banging around on the circuitry on the whole trip. we reseated the fan and made sure everything was tight and snug. turned on computer but no display. we get post,no errors. hard drives runs etc. tryed different power supply, tryed reseating cpu, tryed new cmos battery, tryed removing all cards exepted video card and booted, tryed different memory, made sure jumper settings are correct-- after all these tests we then tryed a different motherboard and it does the same thing. any suggestions?
besides this problem, when booted the scsi HD makes a banging noise like something in the HD is hitting something.
computer has scsi HD, IDE HD, amd on first mobo, intel on second mobo.
mobo spec's are probably not necessary, i just want the darn thing to turn on.
thanks ryan.
