9840B Firmware

I have a 9840B Escon drive with firmware r1.30.3161 and if I will make a R/W diagnostic I get a status: not available but no errorcode.

If I use a lover lvl. firmware there is no problem.

Is it possible to get in contact with the drive via TCP/IP ?

Hi...

The address for the tape drive its 10.77.77.77 by default, but you cannot connect with the drive in a simple manner. This port its only for CSE of StorageTek. You need a special software.
