9620L VPN headache

I have set up multiple 5610's and recently a few 9620L vpn phones. I have always used netgear FVS routers. Recently I tried to convert a 9620L on a 500v2 running 6.0.18 to VPN and the VPN options are on the phone but you can't change them. I tried on another phone and same problem. I have 4 5610's and 1 9620L VPN phones connected to this site from 4 different countries and now I am failing. I did recreate the 46xx and 96xx txt files already.

I have done this a couple of times and you really need to tell the phone with a text file that changes the setting so you are allowed to change it.

I have cleared the phone, removed manager, installed manager, added the h323 vpn files to manager folder, edited the 46xxsettings.txt and added the 96xxvpn.txt file. Before I did all this the phone had the vpn options but I can not change the options on the phone. I booted the phone and it tries to get http 96xxupgrade.txt so I edited that file. Manager was set as the tftp and http server, I see nothing in the tftp log. I changed the tftp, http and phone file server to memory card and rebooted the phone and still nothing. To top it all off I can't find my hammer to smash everything with.

I think it has to do with the firmwar eon the phone.
Try firmware from 6.0.8

The phone is looking for 96xxupgrade.txt. Are you saying to try just putting the files that came with 6.0.8 in the manager folder or actually downgrading to 6.0.8?

Wjen you want other firmware then you must use a different level.
I am not sure if 6.0.8 has a different level of firmware.
Try an older or never level and thne upgrade back to the 6.0.8 phone firmware level.
