9620 VPN phone

Im looking to convert a 9620 to a VPN phone how do I get into the setting of the phone referenced on the above thread. If I go into the craft setting, VPN is disabled and I cant press anything to enable it only beeps.

you need to set the GROUP to VPN or 876

edit the 46xxsettings.txt file accordingly, reload the phone and allow the txt file you edited to be uploaded to the phone during the reboot cycle.

once done your phone will have the VPN settings enabled.

OK, so in the 4600 text file I inserted the code under the 9600 setttings. I also changed the craft group setting to vpn. After the update, the phone pulled new files from the IPO. After it was finished I checked the craft VPN settings and it didn't change, still disabled and no way to change! Any idea where the problem might be? My hunch is I inserted the code in the wrong place. Does it have to go in a specific place within the 9600 setting?
