i have a bob standard ps2 2 button mouse with serial converter connected to com1, 95 standard serial mouse driver installed, com1 enabled in bios!!!on boot up win95 still insists that ps2 mouse is not connected and will not recognise my serial mouse connection!!! if there is a diff driver i need or some configuration changes that i need to do, please help as these keystrokes can be frustrating with some functions...

1. Try the Add New Hardware wizard to make the machine search for new devices.
2. PS/2 mice are not necessarily compatible with the serial port, even with a converter. You may need a different mouse.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...

Try entering system setup and disabling the PS/2 port in BIOS and make sure the serial ports are enabled.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...
