HELP. I have read through all of the different threads and am unable to figure out how to do this. I have looked thru CAMA, PUBLIC UNKNOWN, Trunk Groups. Please tell me how to proceed without going to the LEC and ordering 1 FB's?

On a local ISDN PRI I want for the main # to display when anyone but 911 is dialed. When 911 is dialed I want the caller ID to display a different number. Can I do this in the S8700 thru programming? The reason is the main phone number address is different than the phone number the emergency people come to.

Please advise. Thanks,

They dont all need to be able to view the DID to the 911 person, just 1 number like xxx-xxx-xxxx. It will always be the same number, but not a DID.

This is how it works. I’ve just gone through something somewhat similar.
The LEC or CLEC can send out any number you want for CID or nothing at all. You just have to tell them what you want going out your ISDN-PRIs.
Now when it comes to 911 calls, what the 911 call center gets is the address of where the circuit is that being used to call out.
I had an issue where the BTN (billed telephone number) for our account was being pushed out on all the ISDN-PRIs at all our sites. Potential customers were seeing the main line to our organization and not the individual sites' numbers. And due to the type of company, we couldn't let that happen. So now all CID is stripped from the ISDN-PRIs no matter what site.
There was a concern about 911 and emergency services not being able to locate the sites if CID was stripped, but that wasn't the case. After talking to the area's 911 administrator/manager, it was understood that the CID may not pass but the address of where the circuit that the 911 call was sent out on would be seen by the 911 call center. I just had to be sure that the routing was in place to be 100% accurate to allow 911 calls to go out only at the particular site that made the 911 call.

OK I got it. I changed the public numbering for 3 digit (911)to go out a spare trunk and changed the number in the public numbering to reflect the number they wanted it to display.
