School system has IPO 7.1 with 4 locations and 1 pri. How do we send the DID number associated with each school when a 911 call is placed from an extension at that school?
Thanks
Tom

I usually add a user short code similar to this...

Code- 9N; (9 is the dialing prefix)
Telephone Number- NsXXXXXXXXXX (replace X's with desired DID number)
Feature- Dial
Line Group- 0 (PRI line group)

Thanks Jeff! Where would this be created and assigned on the individual extension level?
Thanks Again
Tom

There are some details missing from your description..but essentially you would create user rights groups for each school, put in their own 9N into the shortcodes, and have it go to a different ARS route that would outpulse a different DID number.

or they could purchase 4 copper trunks and you could configure a School (Zone) for each trunk.
notify the PSAP that each trunk belongs to a different address.

It's only dialtone!!!

I would say that vztech has hit the nail on the head with his suggestion and a locally terminated analog trunk on each system (or 3 analog trunks as you have the PRI in the main site) will make sure that you have the ability to call 911 even if the SCN goes down. Also if you go that route have them test the analog trunk every Monday morning to validate that it is still working.
You better have them sign a release form in case the SCN goes down and someone calls 911 and can't get help because that might just save your hide one day.
