Ok, I have a DRM running off our Definity, and have 2 handsets assigned to it, one reg. to area 1, the other on 2. I have been informed that while on a call on either handset, that they are getting almost like a stutter or pop on the line. I have heard this in person, and have done the following to troubleshoot:

Unassinged/reassigned handsets

Moved radio module further away from any EMI source

Run all new wiring to DRM

Re-punched connection at wall field

Swapped TN2181 digital cards in the switch w/ a known good one

Replaced DRM w/ a new one

The only thing that I haven't tried is getting a new handset. I'm at a loss. After moving the DRM, the pop was less frequent, but still there. There is nothing else EMI-wise that I can think of that would cause that heavy of interference. I've had this thing temp. sitting on our switch rack w/ no issues before. The only other thing that I can think that changed was we recently had a wireless Internet connection installed via satellite. Is it possible to have this type of issue w/ the 9040 and a wireless LAN?

Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

Jay

I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay

Well beings how the "wireless Internet connection installed via satellite" was installed when it started, I certainly would suspect. I have seen other problems similiar. I would check grounding of both system and if nothing else, and then if that doesn't fix it, bring in a electronic techinician with a spectrum analyzer and any other necessary equipment.

Thanks for the idea of the spectrum analysis. We can do that, so I guess it's time to see what I come up with. That's what I think is causing it. I'll check the grounding too.
