Okay I saw an earlier thread (thread798-991742) about this same Scam, seems that someone has spread the news of this scam again to many people, hence why I am bringing it up again. As a refreasher the scam goes something like "Hi, I am a telephone company tech and I am doing some testing on your line, please press 90# and hang up to complete the test."

While this gets you know where in my switch by just dialing 90#, someone can press transfer or conference and dial 90# which will take the caller to a telco operator. I am curious if there's any special way to block 90# from being dialed while using transfer or conference or blocking 90# from even being dialed. My AC1 is 9 for an outside line. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

After re-reading my post a third time I realized I should clear up something. If you just take a phone off hook and dial 90# you will get my telco provider operator. If you are on the phone with the scammer and dial 90# you will get nothing. If you press transfer or conference while being on the phone with the scammer then 90# you will get my telco provider operator.

your blocking transfer to an outside trunk, i want to say that's in the cdb. i have mine turned on but the console knows that trick. if they start hitting did's i'll need to find a cure... short of removing 0 as an spn, i do not know of one, the # is stateside end of dial string

As john stated, remove 0 as a spn. We don't allow callers to call the operator.

Thanks, I've removed the SPN 0 and that resolves the problem for now. Thanks again!
