I have a site that is currently working using lan1 and vpn connections to remote offices. Customer is adding more small offices and is getting worried if main site goes down all offices loose phone traffic. What I want to implement is a backup system at a remote location that has a second PRI and connected via mpls. Can i use lan2 connected to mpls router and have main site fallback to remote site? How would ip routes look if my phone system ip on lan1 is 172.xxx.xxx.xxx and my lan2 ip is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx. Thanks in advance!

The phone will recognize the SCN line opposite site's IP address as their secondary call server. So you have to make sure that the phones will be able to reach the fall back IPO over the MPLS line.

So if I have an ip route 0.0.0.0 to gateway of lan1 for remote ip phones. Would i build second ip route with ip of second system using lan2

The phones default gateway has to be able to route the phone's IP packets over the MPLS connection to the fall back IPO and the fall back IPO must know the reverse route. And for sure you need routes between these two IPOs.
