8i Java tools will not run on win2k box

Cannot get jrew.exe to load on a windows 2000 server so cannot run any of the gui tools locally also will not start some services with out this. Help - thanks - pongo

Just in case you are having the infamous Pentium IV bug, check out faq186-1124 in this forum.

The symptom is the installer or other java tool just will not run - no error message is displayed. You double click or whatever and nothing happens.
