It has been brought to my attention that when users dial 877 and 866 and pause before completing the number (for 3 secs) that phone simply disconnects them. All other area codes appear to work ok. 800, 601, 972...when paused after dialling 91972 (for 5 secs) they recieve a busy signal. What is this? Where can I check/change it?

Can you go to LD 90 and do:
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE SPN
SPN 866
..and..
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE SPN
SPN 877
..and..
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE SPN
SPN 800

and then post results? -Matt

check the FLEN on the NPA/SPN programming.

it might be set for something wierd like 5, 6 or 7. Make it 10 and then the system won't do anything until it sees 10 digits.

you will see in ld 90 that 877 and 866 are set up without exp entries. the inter digit time out is cust wide, of it's not a timer, make sure the 877 is set the same as your npa's except for rli, should be the same rli as local in most areas

Ok. Here's what I get when I attempt to prt the spns....

REQ prt
CUST 0
FEAT net
TRAN ac1
TYPE spn

SPN 866

ESN073

SPN 800

ESN071

SPN 877

ESN073

Just carriage return after SPN and list them all. Who knows they might have just opened up all 8's in the NPA, not using the SPN.

Ok. Here's what I get:

SPN 1800
RLI 11
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

SPN 1866
RLI 11
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

SPN 1877
RLI 11
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

They are all the same. Is there something I'm missing?

print rli 11, and pls print one npa.. same command as printing a spn, but spn and npa's start with 1

NPA 1540
RLI 1
SDRR NONE

Ok folks I just did a little test myself. My 800, 866, 877 all go out the same exact way. But if I dial 1800 (nothing else) and wait about 5 seconds I get reorder. If I do the same thing with 1866 or 1877 I get a recording back from the CO saying that the call can not be completed. If I go to load 80 and trace the call it shows the 800 # as terminating nowhere. But the 866, & 877 actually do terminate on the trunks. By the way all the numbers work if I dial a complete Toll Free number. Some one else want to try this and let us know what they get.

My fault on printing your SPNs, I forgot the leading 1's. I'm sorry!!

Can you print the RLI 11 for us? See post from McGruff753; although they're all the same, it may give us a clue.. -Matt

Everything looks normal. I get reorder if I just dial 1800, 1888, 1877, or 1866 and wait. I'm at a loss; what is your Route 19 and Route 18? -Matt

Ok more testing, if I build all of the numbers as NPA's they act the same. So as SPN's the system treats the 800 number different in some way than it does the others. If you look when they're built as SPN then you get an additional prompt for the 800 number (INPL) so that tells me that the system sees them differently. Anyone else have any input.

you can do some allow on spn's for a set that doesn't have access to npa's, they work the same and unless you want to allow 911 or 1800 from phones that can't usually dial 9+ you don't need to address spn's at all

heavnema are you set up as SPN's or NPA's because if I set them up as NPA's I got reorder just like you. But when I was set up as SPN's then I got the recording on 866, 877, & 888.
