I have a 8710 running cm3.1. It has 2 g 350s hanging off it with 2 8300 lsp v2 modules.

Here is the problem. These have been connected for over a year. For some reason one of the 8300 all of a sudden do not register. When I do a list config it shows no board. When I try to connect at the service port it does not connect. I am not able to ping to that address any more as well.

In the alarms I get SP-REG-M and MG-ICC warnings.

Does anyone have any ideas for this. I am about to order a new 8300 and install but really dont want to if there is a fix for what I do have.

Thanks

g3rguy,

try rebooting the media gateway first. also check that that s8300 doesn't have a cd-rom drive with a disk in it. maybe there was a power failure and s8300 stuck trying to boot from a wrong disk. even if it's right disk, it doesn't help.

funny had this yesterday tried reset stack but no good so went and physically re-seated the bored and magic all came alive strange I know can ping and everything preventive maintenance is good!!!!

testLED,

resetting stack does not affect the s8300 circuit pack, so no wonder that physical reseating worked.

it was service engineer that reset the stack remotely but that said I didnt know that either but why do they loose touch with everything.

Try all your suggestion and nothing. I am going to try to put a masterboot disk in next week and reboot the mg and see if the cd will bring it up.

Ok so here is an update. Took the master 3.1.628 disk and put it in the drive connected to the lsp. It booted and reloaded the trans. Put the lic file on and now everything is running great.
