Thanks in advance for any help.

I am planning on putting a 8300\450 on the network so I will be re-IPing the equipment (throwing in a Cisco router swap at the same time).

Here is my list as to what I am going to do:

Change IP address S8300 with G450 G350 w/Intuity LX

Verify all logins and passwords

log into sat and type 'List Node-names'

Change Intuity in CM

1 ch comm pro - disable pro

2 ch node-n Audix (new ip address)
remote

3 Ch comm pro - enable pro

4 Save Translations

CHange S8300

5 Web page change the S8300 address and gateway and subnet mask

(if not using POTS line will drop your connection)

Change G450

6 G450 change MGC list (clear mgc lis - set mgc lis) type copy run start

7 G450 type inter vlan 1

8 sho inter (show ip address)

9 type no ip address - ip add xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (new g450 ip address) xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (new Subnet)

10 exit

11 Default Gateway ip default-gateway x.x.x.x

12 type copy run start

13 ip def xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. (change gateway)

14 copy run start

15 reset chasis you may have to do a reset system 4 if it does not register
(neither command drop me G350 GAteway)

Change LX

15 WEb page change audix ip and gateway and mask address

16 web ch switch link address

verify audix up
verify license up

I went through some other posts but didnt see what I was looking for. I have an admin PC connected to the PBX. will i be able to accomplish everything on this list? Also, i am looking for info on how to root into the 450. I am able to telnet into the 8300 but I am unsure on how to move forward into the 450.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I don't see "change media x" in your list. ssh to the G450 address using root and the root password for access.

thanks lopes1211. i was able to find the MG IP when i disp media gateway 1

once i telneted into the 8300, i was able to ssh root@x.x.x.x

I got these instructions from one of my service vendors and also ran it past one of my higher level admins and said it looked like i was good to go.

would the change media x command be done via emulation for the media gateway? i thought that would be done from the web interface?

thanks

list media" from ASA to find all of your gateways and their IP's. Th media-gateway page only has the serial number of the GW and not the IP so you don't actually need to change anything there for your cutover.

to access the g/w ,type go shell from ASA then telnet in.
