How can I find out what extension our 800 is pointing to in the PBX? I have an Option 11. I have to change the extension.

Thanks

Telco will have to change the point, you can't do that in the PBX

If you are going to change it, you might as well point it to a CDN, so you can make the routing changes rather than the 800 provider. Just a thought.

If you know what DNIS is coming in, you can check the IDC table. If the 1-800# is coming in on a PRI, you can turn on D-channel messaging, make a test call and see if you can see the DNIS being sent on the D-channel. After that, it is ask the Telco as others have suggested.

we always do the change at the pbx level, usually when we need a change we need it now, not next week and we perfer that it's right the 1st time..

two ways to term a 800 dnis to your switch.. old school would be a cot with auto yes in the route, and the atdn the station dn.. better way is to use dnis, same thing as did.. look at ld 49, prt idc.. there may be a translation table built... in-bound 1000 going to dn 2002, if there is not an idc table, then it may be just as easy to add one, if the dn ringing today is 2000, then translate that to the new dn.. if you get stuck, let us know, one of us can post the code
