I need to activate a 8 party conference calling circuit card. I've done 3 party but not 8, can someone assist me on route number (if different than 909) and dip switch settings? thanks in advance guys

an 8 party conference card does not need a separate route. you will need to program 8 station numbers to the card. the station numbers will be programmed in the upper line group of the slot. Eg if you are in MG 0 Unit 0 Line groups 10-11 the LEN numbers you will use are 000110 - 000117. the conference leader is assigned at level 0 the rest are assigned in levels 1-7. the numbers you assign in levels 1-7 will need to be either in a circular hunt or a pilot hunt group. For switch settings you will need to give the actual name of the card as there are different revision of the card. Hopefully this will give you a good starting point.

Here are the steps from the Feature Programming Manual... These may help as well. If you need more help, let us know.

STEP 1: ASYD - System Data 1, Index 08, Bits 0-7. Assign the number of Tenants.
System Data 1, Index 20, Bit 6 = 0 (Line Circuit Reverse Relay Control when Reorder Tone is
connected to a station.)
System Data 1, Index 92, Bit 4 = 0/1. This enables Tenant-to-Tenant Route Restriction Service.
System Data 1, Index 94, Bit 0 = 0/1. This enables Tenant-to-Tenant Restriction Service.
System Data 1, Index 432, Bits 0-3. Assign the first digit of the Pilot Number used for this service.
System Data 1, Index 432, Bits 4-7. Assign the second digit of the Pilot Number.
System Data 1, Index 433, Bits 0-3. Assign the third digit of the Pilot Number.
System Data 1, Index 433, Bits 4-7. Assign the fourth digit of the Pilot Number.
System Data 1, Index 434, Bits 0-3. Assign the fifth digit of the Pilot Number.
Note: One through five digits may be used. Assign the Bits accordingly. If a digit is not used, assign those bits as
“0”. If a bit is used for 0 (For the digit “0” use the HEX value format - “A”), see the following example
for Station 7001:
System Data 1, Index 432 is A7,
System Data 1, Index 433 is 1A,
System Data 1, Index 434 is x0.
STEP 2: ASFC - For the SFC used by the PA-CFTB (SP-1114), PA-CFTW or PA-CFTV, assign SFI 32 = 1.
For the SFC used by Stations that will use this feature, assign SFI 131 (Add-On Conference - 8 Party)
= 1. If you do not want certain people to use this feature, make sure that SFI 131 (Add-On Conference
- 8 Party) = 0 in the SFC that the telephone is programmed to.
STEP 3: ASDT - Assign Stations to each level of the CFT. Assign TEC = 27 for each level and ensure that the
CFT Levels are assigned in a separate Tenant and separate SFC from non-CFT Levels. The Station
assigned to LEN Level 0 should be the same Station assigned in ASYD, System Data 1, Index 432-
434.
STEP 4: ASHC - Assign a STATION HUNTING - CIRCULAR Group for Stations programmed to LEN
Levels 1 through Level 7 of the CFT Circuit Card. For more details, see the following figure.
STEP 5: ASHP - When the system accommodates multiple CFT Circuit Cards, assign a STATION HUNTING
- TERMINATING Group for the Stations programmed to LEN Level 0 of each CFT Circuit Card.
STEP 6: AKYD - Assign the Feature Key Retain Conference [83] to any Dterms that require the use of the
Retain Conference feature.
STEP 7: ADSL - Assign SN = 3 (Station Busy) and Feature Key Three-Way Calling [13].
Assign the Feature Key Retain Conference [83] to any Dterm which require the use of RETAIN
CONFERENCE.
This command is required for assigning the function to each Soft Key.
STEP 8: ARSC - Assign Restriction Data between Routes and the RSC used by the CFT.
STEP 9: ATNR - Assign Restriction Data between Tenants.

Well the circuit card is the SPA-CFTW-A. I've assigned the card to a 32 port slot since it can be broken into four groups of 8, unless I'm mistaken? stations are assigned to each port and the port levels 1-7 have been assigned to a circular hunt. I can establish 3 party but that's been always been available but cannot add anymore than that. I dont quite understand where restriction data between routes comes into play if these are assigned as stations? All steps 1-5 have been complete. I used the switch setting from the CFTV card which I'm assuming isn't to much different?

I a not sure if i understand how you are trying to operate the card. are you trying to conference in more than 3 parties to a single call? The way the conference card operates is that the conference leader dials the station number assigned to level 0 all other members dial the pliot number of the pilot or circular hunt you assigned to the stations on levels 1-7. it does not operate like a normal 3 party conference where you have two people talking then decide to conference another party. this is more like the conference leader sets a time for 7 other people to call the pilot number and then they confer. IF you are using a 32 port slot eg. 12~15 then again you need to use the upper line group. MG 0 Unit 0 LG 12~15 the LEN assignments would be 000150 through 000157. once you put the 8 port card in the 32 port slot, you are not able to use any more of those line groups. I would suggest you move it to a 16 port slot and save the 32 ports slots for PRI,CCIS,PAD,DTI,DRU, or any other card that is generally more than 16 ports.

The CFTV and CFTW are different. Use the switch settings for it. From the manual- General Function
The PA-CFTW (CFT) circuit card provides an interface for establishing conference call, that is made up of
a maximum of 8 parties.
The number of conferences managed per card is 2 groups of 8-party conferencem the circuit card manual.

Going off the manual, it gives a procedure on how to establish an 8 party conference call and doesn't go the route of dialing the pilot number directly but doesn't mean I cant try since it isn't working the way its configured at the moment. I have the NEC CD containing the manuals and found CFTV circuit card, I need to go back and look for CFTW.To be honest they seem to match up. I will give an update once I try your methods. Thanks for all your help guys!!!!!

Perfect, I went off calling the pilot with station (A) and having the rest of the parties call one of the circular pilot numbers! I was able to get 4 parties. I will have to make the circulars DID's that way outside parties will be able to call in and join.
