Hi we purchased four MXEs a few years ago with the 1400 user expansion option pack, we upgraded to MCD5 last year and a check of the Maximum number of IP devices option Today shows the 700 option is selected and the only other option is 5600. Can we select 5600?

Thanks,
John.

I believe this depends on how this system was ordered initially. Someone else please add to this. Thanks.......

Always look out for the next tech. because one day it will be you!

Yes,

As long as you have the available resources and licensing.
It just means that at the moment you can only program 700 IP devices. You can change it to 5600 but you will have to do a backup and restore as well.

I am assuming whoever upgraded the system did not choose to restore the dimensions from the backup file.

The hardware based MXe's will not support over 1400 devices. Only the ISS, vMCD and the MXe Server could support that number of phones.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.

Yes our maintainer has confirmed we need datasave/data restore to increase the max number of configurable IP devices. rather than suffer the outages for this we're going to go to MCD6 as well.

Unfortunately we've already hit a capacity problem on one of our controllers with only 225 IP devices as home element and 69 as secondary element, we've hit the maximum number of Multiline sets (756) as we have 462 DNI SS4025s!! Bah Humbug!!
