70-290 Cram Guides

Anyone know if it's possible to get hold of the above for a remarkably cheap price? Free would be good! Or alternatively, a site where I can go for free test etc?

mcmcse.com have some good free tests. you have to sign up for the site but there's no cost

nah, it was ok to be honest, can't compare it to the xp pro one as I did 2k pro, but compared to 291 it was a walk in the park!

I'd say that your best bet is to buy a new or used 70-290 book that comes with a practice CD. The books that people found the most useful has been a topic of discussion several times in the past here.

While 70-290 is not a very difficult exam on its own, many people fail it simply because they underestimate it. After taking a client OS exam (70-210 or 70-270) the relative difficulty is easy to misjudge.

MCSA/MCSE exams are designed to be challenging. If you don't succeed the first time, at least you'll be better prepared for your next attempt.

Thanks a lot. I have the 70-290 book with the practice CD but to be honest, I'm not finding it easy at all! I was having a bash at the 70-284 (Exchange) but it was a nightmare. Perhaps I'm just not cut out to study!!! :-(

I sort of find the same with the practoce tests to be honest.
I read the ms-press books and watch the cbt nuggets videos, and I'm still suprised at how much I learn by doing the practice tests. Don't worry if you get the questions wrong, that's why they're practice tests! as long as you read the explanation as to why your answer was wrong and the other(s) are right, you'll be fine.
